About 30 entries were received for Booth Library’s fifth annual Edible Book Festival, held on April 16 as part of National Library Week.

Awards were presented in the following categories: Dean’s Choice, People’s Choice, Children’s Book Theme, Student Entry, Family Entry and Funniest Pun. About 100 guests attended the show and voted for their favorites.

The winners were as follows:

People’s Choice: gold winner, “Strega Nona” by Georgia Ryan and Jeremy Ryan; silver winner, “The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake” by Steve Brantley.

Dean’s Choice: gold winner, “Cinderella After Midnight” by Stacey Knight-Davis; silver winner, “Gone With the Wind,” by Jana Aydt.

Best in Show – Family Entry: “I Need My Monster” by Hannah Kuhns, Kathy Black and Dawn Kuhns.

Best in Show – Funniest Pun: “The Taming of the Shrooms” by Heather Wohltman.

Best in Show – Children’s Book Theme: “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” by Samantha Bobbitt and Heather Wohltman.

Best in Show – Student Entry: “A Clockwork Orange” by Katie Jenkins.
